Turn your chair over for easier installation.  The Cupfolder may be installed on either the right or left arm of the chair.  Images below show installation for right arm of chair.

Orient the Cupfolder so the straight portions of the mounting bracket are facing the front and inside arm of the chair.  Place the front of the  Cupfolder bracket as close to the front arm brace and approximately 1/4 inch from the outside edge of the arm.

Be sure the Cupfolder is aligned with the arm of the chair so it will be tucked in when not in use.

Screw in the enclosed Stainless Steel wood screws using a Phillips head screwdriver.  A long reach screwdriver may be helpful.  Pre-drill holes 1/2 inch deep for harder-wood chairs (for example those made out of mahogany).

Screw in the remaining screws.
